'A Little Bit Of History' is a book published in 2014 at the end of the project of the same name. It consists of photographs and stories of the experiences of residents of the Little London inner city area of Leeds. The area largely comprises council housing built in the 1950s – 1960s, formerly known as Camp Road after the previous name of the main road running through it (now Oatland Lane / Lovell Park Road). The area has been home to people of wide-ranging social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, today one of the most diverse communities in the city.
The project was carried out through a mix of local research, interviews, drop-in sessions and other events, including an exhibition held at Leeds Central Library in May 2012. Also available is the A Little Bit Of History resource pack, containing further research material and archive information with sample images, maps, etc, for £5 plus p&p. Related activities can be provided to groups using a variety of resources held by LLA.
A Little Bit Of History was supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund
